Kathryn StowerMemberIn the U.S. we have a hard time understanding how women can be happy in such male-dominated and oppressive societies as those found in the Middle East. Do women in these societies feel that their female ‘sphere of existence’ actually allows them more freedom to be who they are? What is the rationale given (to self or others) for feeding males in the family before females?
