gender fraud on the internet

okay ive got an assignment which i have to do for uni and i would appreciate any comments anyone has on this issue, i need to know how people feel when disscussing gender related issues on the internet. whether it be sex or even just disclosing things about your sexuality. do you feel secure in talking about gender related issues on the internet? sometimes do you wish that certain facts about people that you are talking to should be supplied automaticately so then you are sure they are who they say they are?
