I love music and listen to all types. Just wondering why there are so few young black people who like, for example, rock music. Aside from wanting to connect with a common black culture, why would you rule out most of the music out there (rock, blues, jazz, old school country, world music, Ben Harper, etc, etc)? Please don’t tell me it’s how people are raised or the same sort of music their peers listen to. My musical tastes are much broader than that, so there’s got to be something else.
