BarneyParticipantHow would one describe what might be called a ‘typical’ person from the dominant culture of the United States? What are their attributes?

Nicodemus SmithParticipantIt depends on the point of view, and that person’s temperament. I would say that most teenagers in America are undereducated, unethical, unoriginal, always following the crowd, and unlikely to succeed in life. It may be that these things have always happened, and so an older person would say, everything is going just fine. The only real normal are the basic need of human beings. Food, water, clothing shelter, a family, a community and a god, no matter what you call it These things trancend national boundries. Other than that, there is no typical, only groups of varying size with similar interests.
