My experiences have been that most children stare regardless of the color of their skin.

All children (white, black, etc.) stare at whatever is different and interesting, until they learn that it is not polite. They learn by observing, so it’s not such a bad thing; they just have to learn how to be more subtle and sensitive. I’m a white person who works in a black neighborhood. Black children stare at me all the time. They’re interested in who I am and what I’m doing. I encourage their interest. I love their unabashed enthusiasm and hugs.

Maybe it’s because they are children and aren’t taught proper manners. Also, maybe all children stare and you just don’t notice other races doing it.

All children stare. It’s just their way of being curious. I never met a little kid who didn’t stare at me.

Unfortunately it is not just children. Their parents and grandparents stare too. It’s quite annoying. Unfortunately I’ve only noticed whites doing it. Let us teach that is not nice to stare.
