My parents recently ‘discovered’ my ateism. Before that, I was being sent to catholic confirmation classes. I am still going to confirmation classes(long story). Anyway, during one class the guest speaker started bashing atheists, which is something I expected. However, he also referred to a secular humanist ‘conspiracy to take over the world’. Is this paranoia common in other religions like Buddhism and Judaism? I know I am not trying to take over the world.
