I have noticed amongst African Americans, that anyone with any African ancestry is considered ‘black’ or ‘African American’ – even if that percentage is miniscule or not physically obvious – and everything that is not ‘black’ is ignored completely as if it did not exist. Why do people not embrace ALL of their ancestry?
