I am a young woman of Chinese descent. However, ever since I was a child, I had been unable to connect with ‘my own kind’, unless they had ‘white Canadian’ interests. My close friends have mostly been white, and I attend a university that is considered a ‘white school’ (however, my high school was Asian and white). Many Asian people think I am a ‘sell out’ because I do not ‘hang out’ with them. Is there something wrong with me?
