RodMemberI am a police officer and have been for 23 years. I am also Japanese-American. I have been tasked with teaching officers of my department about being aware and sensitive about racial and cultural differences, INCLUDING considering negative perceptions of law enforcement held by the community. For those of you who have negative perceptions, what can a ‘good’ cop do to convince you that MOST police officers are HONEST, caring, sensitive, passionate individuals who really care about you and the community?
