Dan27187ParticipantI guess you could say I believe in chivalry. I’m old fashioned like that. I make it a habit to hold doors open for ladies most everywhere I go, and if I’m out to dinner or something like that I usually insist on paying for the whole shindig, but I don’t press it too much. Also, I’m very protective of my female friends and I rush in like a ninja if I see that they’re in over their heads, but I try very hard not to be overbearing. But lately I’ve been getting the drift that some people (of both genders) feel that chivalry is antiquated and even chauvanistic and patronizing. I imagine it would be if I took it too far, but I don’t. So my question is, how do you feel about chivalry? Do you appreciate it or do you think it stinks?
