Why do most guys think highly of themselves?

Actually, they don’t. However, in our society, males who appear to be lacking confidence are looked down upon. So most guys learn to try to hide their insecurities.

I am a guy and do not think highly of myself, but some people – male and female – are showoffs.

I can be rather pride of myself at times. Other times I am the complete opposite. I am not, however, scornful, and use my pride as a motivation to be a better person. Also, I find plenty of things to be proud of(I am currently in an egotistical mood).
