Why do American people always say the annoying expression ‘good for you’! Don’t they realize that many Europeans find this such a fake comment and so patronizing?

In what context have you heard it used? When it’s used sarcastically, yes, it’s annoying. However, if somebody is complimenting you on a job well done and they say, “good for you”, it just means “I’m proud of you” or “You go, girl”. Just Curious
