MortParticipantThe football coach at the university where I work was fired. His severance package pays him HIS REGULAR SALARY ($150,000 a year) for not working here. This continues until 1/1/08. What possible philosophical or economic justification is there for this? How can this possibly benefit the university? There’s some cultural justification that I’m missing. What is it?
