ShirleyAveryParticipantAs I understand it, Christian fundamentalists claim to take the bible literally. How many of them are fluent in biblical Hebrew and ARamaic? There are many translations of the bible, each interpreted by its translators. I’m not a biblical scholar, but have taken enough Torah classes with biblical scholars to know that many of the Hebrew words in the Old Testament have a variety of meanings (as in English). How then, can there be only one literal meaning? Just Curious
