I recently have read many news stories in the media about alleged ‘sexual assults’. How is this term different than ‘rape’? If it is one and the same, why does the media (newspapers and news stations particularly) and legal entities shy away from the word ‘rape’. I would also like someone to inform me if the words mean different things.
