No, Joe. There is nothing wrong with being proud about your ethnic background and looking to preserve your heritage. By your definition, African-Americans are racist if they go to church on MLK Day or Irish-Americans are racist if they march in a St. Patrick’s Day parade. A true racist is one who denies the humanity of another based on ethnicity. Under my definition, there are racists of all stripes around us, but people are still allowed to celebrate their background w/out being called ‘racist.’ Please think about it.
